Class C Shares

Shares of a mutual fund that have an up-front sales charge, usually 1%, plus an annual 12b-1 fee, or level load, that is usually equal to 1% of the fund’s assets. Sometimes there is also a Contingent Deferred Sales Charge if the shares are sold in less than 12 to 18 months.
